About the Practice
Scope of Practice:
Dr. Fong provides a full spectrum of family medicine services, that is, medical services for patients of all age groups. (He does not, however, see children under six.) His patients range from the geriatric elderly with many complicated medical problems to males and females young and old. Being a generalist doctor, he can take most any problem patients present with and devise the appropriate actions to take, actions which may sometimes involve a referral to an appropriate specialty. He does routine physicals and routine gynecological checkups, and he takes an interest in musculoskeletal problems.

Covid Pandemic and Lessons Learned
Lessons for the next pandemic:
Lockdowns are not necessary. What is necessary is masking, social distancing (see Covid Advice #25, paragraph 6 on).
In the early stages of the pandemic, quarantining or disinfecting things that come into the house, like groceries, and diligent hand cleansing, are needed.
That is because when there are no vaccines and almost all humans have not been exposed, the virus multiplies unchecked in people it has infected, and they spew out many multiples more virus onto objects with than when most people either have had contact or have been vaccinated, and so in the early stages objects ("fomites") can spread the virus.Lessons for preventing respiratory infections at any time:
